Wakana is shocked when Marin tells him the cosplay event is in two weeks. Despite his exceptional skills, he is still a newbie in the cosplay costume business.
The official synopsis of “My Dress-Up Darling” Episode 4 reveals Wakana will freak out when he realizes he doesn’t have time. And to make things difficult, his grandfather falls and hurts his back in an accident.
In his absence, Wakana will now have to take care of the business. Later, Marin reminds him that there is a test coming up. Can Wakana handle all the pressure and deliver the costume within the stipulated time?
In the previous episode, Marin and Wakana bonded as he helped her create her costume. He was happy that Marin was treating her nicely in school but he was worried about all the attention he was suddenly getting from his peers.
Marin and Wakana later went shopping to buy the material for the costume.
“Marin and Wakana start to grow closer as he helps her create her cosplay. Though he’s happy about the fact that Marin treats him the same way at school as anywhere else, he also starts to worry about the fact that other people think it’s weird that they’re hanging out. Despite that, Marin takes Wakana shopping so they can look for materials needed for her cosplay,” read the official synopsis of Episode 3, according to Crunchyroll.
The opening theme of “My Dress-Up Darling” anime is titled “Sansan Days.” It is performed by Spira Spica. The ending theme song, called “Koi no Yukue,” is performed by Akari Akase.
The cast of the anime, which is also known as “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru” in Japan, includes Hina Suguta as Marin Kitagawa, Shoya Ishige as Wakana Gojou, Atsumi Tanezaki as Sajuna Inui, Hina Yomiya as Shinju Inui, Yuka Amemiya as Daia, Rarisa Tago Takeda as Nowa Sugaya, Mai Kanno as Nobara and Akira Sekine as Rune.
Fans in the U.S. can watch “My Dress-Up Darling” Episode 4 online on Funimation and Crunchyroll starting Saturday. The episode will live stream in Japanese with English subtitles.
